When you buy a quilt you also need to buy a duvet cover. The main purpose of a duvet cover is to keep the quilt clean. It also ensures that you can keep your bedding clean. There are many sizes to choose from but it's important to pick a set that matches the quilt to ensure a snug fit. A duvet that is too small for the cover will end up bunching and up in the corners.
The sizes can be quite confusing since there are many including single, king, superking, emperor and double bed sets. These sizes are generally referred to as UK sizes and in the U.S there are many more. Sizes in the U.S include; Californian King and Eastern King. Getting your measurements right is an important step and will make it less confusing when buying a duvet set.
Double bed sets are popular since they are larger than single or 'twin' size duvets. Generally single covers are best suited for small children and single bed frames. These are also fine for adults but many prefer double size duvet sets for the extra width. For two people a double duvet or larger is definitely a good idea.
Two full grown adults sharing a single duvet will not be doing themselves any favors. At minimum a double bet set will suffice but increasingly people are choosing larger beds and duvet sets. The last thing you want on a cold night is waking up with the duvet taken up by your partner.
Double bed sets are quite often utilized for guest rooms and children's rooms too and we all know how fussy kids can be. Choosing the right style for a child really depends on age and what they're into. While a Disney double bed set might be ok for a young child, a teen will probably want something a little more mature.

The other thing to bear in mind is that when buying a cover, you should make sure that it is not see-through or light in color especially when the duvet is quite dark. A low thread count will not be as good a quality as a high thread count. Thread counts go up to a thousand and the higher you go the softer and more comfortable the duvet cover will be. If you want something even more luxurious consider satin or silk sheets.
